Girl Chat Live is where real women have real conversations. It’s the space where we laugh, cry, debate, and share in a way that feels safe, judgment-free, and rooted in sisterhood. Every month, we take on topics that matter, unpacking the things we often only whisper about, and this month, we’re going there.
Beyond the Mirror is a raw, necessary conversation on how beauty standards affect Black and Brown women. We’ll talk about the privileges and prejudices tied to skin tone, hair texture, and society’s definition of “pretty” and how those silent rules have shaped our opportunities, relationships, and self-worth.
This isn’t about tearing each other down, it’s about seeing each other fully. It’s about challenging the biases we’ve been taught to accept and deciding what beauty looks like for ourselves. Whether you’ve benefited from these standards, been hurt by them, or both, your voice belongs in this conversation.
Come ready to listen, share, and connect in a space built for authenticity, empathy, and growth.

We’ll be at Baldwin Park for a cozy silent reading picnic. Bring your current read if you’ve got one, but honestly? Just bring yourself.
We’ve got you covered with mini charcuterie boxes and wine (alcoholic + non-alcoholic) so you can sip, snack, and settle into the vibes.
This is about slowing down, being present, and enjoying each other’s company in the most peaceful way.
Pull up exactly as you are with a book, with a journal, or just ready to sit in the sun and relax.
